Freelance branding work done between 2010-2015
Personal concept art pieces I've done between 2004 and now.
Personal project game art and technique tests
I have worked with Vertige as an Advisor. Asides of purely giving advices I have made UI mockups and feature suggestions and helped the original developers in optimizing the games usability.
There's not so much hands on work of mine in this one, as my role at Remedy has been more management and production heavy than anything else. Some small UI side stuff can be seen on this video.
Fruity Duty was a short consultancy project done for Playground Publishing. I was asked to do consultancy on the art direction of the project and give suggestions on how to improve it with small changes. My approach was to change as little as possible and still get as big effect as I could. I ended up redesigning the UI and UX of the game and to give a suggestion on a new logo and branding of the game.
Walkmore™ was a gaming concept that used players steps as one form of currency
Winning Manager Football is a f2p project pitch I worked briefly in 2013. Idea behind the project was to create a very tactical f2p manager gaming experience that would still be very easy to pick up and learn. Visually we wanted the game to be very true to modern broadcasting graphics that our target audience was accustomed to when watching the big national leagues and European cup competitions.
Kings&Warlords was a free to play game on facebook. I worked in the project as lead artists from beta to live stage
I provided Studio on Mars with art direction help early in the project and again later when the prototyping had begun. My role was to provide a visual vision package that would help to get the project started.
Commercial Project concepts I worked on during my time at Digital Chocolate
One of my all time favourite projects. We received a very open brief and could innovate a lot on how to reinvent and rejuvenate such a classic game.
Pictoplay+™ was a project done together with Kuuasema. My role in the project was to work as the Lead Artist on the Digital Chocolate end and supervise the quality and guide the art direction. I also did some illustrations for this project.
A mobile J2ME project done at Digital Chocolate. I worked as a Lead Artist in this project and asides of the over all art direction my contribution was mostly on UX and UI side.
I'm an entrepreneur and a seasoned game industry professional with a creative and artistic background. I'm currently working as an Art Director at Rovio Entertainment.
I have worked in different creative and management roles in more than 40 games (mostly for Mobile, iPhone & PC), including well-known brands like Trivial Pursuit, Playman, South Park, Brick Breaker Revolution and most recently Quantum Break for XBox One.
Although currently focusing on a AAA title, I keep a close eye on F2P and iOS game development, and help emerging game studios with branding, usability and game economy balancing as a consultant and adviser. Before working with games, I worked mainly with web development, advertisements; and gained experience in Flash, Nintendo, Amiga and PC platforms through developing demos in Demoscene.
